gnss upgrade
Over the past 18 months, Noremac Constructions, in collaboration with AMS Group, has undertaken a challenging remote mission for Geoscience Australia's GNSS network upgrade. Our skilled team has traversed some of the most isolated regions in Australia, enduring extreme heat, swarms of flies, and the delays brought by the rugged terrain. Despite these obstacles, we successfully installed and upgraded multiple greenfield and brownfield sites for Geoscience Australia.
Each site consisted of three concrete slabs supporting a satellite dish, solar panels, battery and information cabinets, and a weather station. Every location presented unique challenges—from bedrock foundations to the inability to access concrete trucks on pour days, requiring our team to self-batch concrete on-site.
Navigating harsh weather conditions, local flora and fauna, post-wet season impacts, and mechanical issues were just a few of the hurdles our team overcame. Yet, through perseverance and expertise, Noremac Constructions delivered successful installations across all sites, contributing to the advancement of Australia's GNSS infrastructure.
At Noremac Constructions, we thrive on tackling the most demanding construction and infrastructure contracts. Our commitment to excellence, even in the toughest environments, drives us to deliver results that exceed expectations.
